Walking route

Visiting the h3h biennial is an experience that takes at least part of a day. The route is about 1.5 kilometres long. The walking route covers part of the Holy Triangle area. The path is not paved everywhere, you also walk on garden paths. Keep that in mind, put on sturdy shoes and bring an umbrella in rainy weather.

Children’s Art Route

A Children’s Art Route has been created for children aged about 5 to 12. With a pencil and a paper altar, they will explore the h3h biennial. They do this by looking closely at different works of art and doing a drawing assignment there. In the altar, a self-created work of art is created that can be put away in two ways. This route is available for free at the entrance.

Accessibility

For visitors in wheelchairs, we place threshold aids where necessary. In Sint-Catharinadal Monastery, there is one room that is not accessible to people in wheelchairs. The staircase is too steep to make provision for this. We hope for your understanding.
A number of parking spaces have been reserved for disabled people in the car park. Parking with a disabled parking card is not free, a parking card must be purchased.

House rules

– The h3h biennial takes place in the monastery area ‘The Holy Triangle’. The three monasteries have an active monastic life that also continues during our art event. As an organisation, we treat this with respect and ask the same from our visitors.

– Prayer services are held daily in the monastery chapels. You are welcome to participate, but no photos are allowed. No sightseeing is possible during the services.

– The monasteries have made parts of their buildings and gardens available. It is clearly indicated where you can and cannot enter.

– Please respect the sisters’ living quarters and their privacy.

– Dogs and other pets are not welcome on the premises. Recognised assistance dogs, however, are allowed inside.

Public guide

A public guide will accompany the h3h biennial and will be available for sale. In it you will find information about the theme Faith, the artists, the works on display and a map with the route.

PRAYER SERVICES

During the h3h biennial, prayer services in the monastery churches will continue as always. During the services, the monastery churches will be open for prayer services only and not for art viewing. Check the monasteries’ websites for the latest information.
